Delete your Dovian account
At Dovian we respect your right to control your personal data. Below we explain how to permanently delete your account and what data is removed with it.
How to delete your account (step by step)
Account deletion is done directly from the app, so we can confirm that you are the account owner.
- Open the Dovian app on your device and make sure you are signed in.
- Go to the Profile tab (your profile icon in the bottom navigation bar).
- Open Settings (the gear icon in the top-right corner of your profile).
- Scroll down and select
Delete account.
- You will be asked to confirm. Read the notice carefully — this action is irreversible.
- Confirm the deletion. Your account and data will be permanently removed.

What data is deleted?
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once you confirm, the following data associated with your account is removed from our active servers:
- Your user account (including your email and securely hashed password).
- All of your profile information (name, age, public photos, role, description, preferences, etc.).
- All of your private and event chat messages.
- All of your private "Book" photos and any access permissions you granted.
- All of your in-app activity: winks, favourites, blocked users, reports and notifications.
- All information about events you created or joined.
Data that may be retained temporarily
We do not keep your personal data after your account is deleted. However, residual copies may remain in our backup systems for a limited period (generally up to 30 days) before being permanently erased. Backups are kept only for security and service-continuity reasons and are not used for any other purpose.
